Rehabilitation Massage

Rehabilitation Massage is for animals who have had a recent injury, illness, or surgery or who have medical issues that cause pain or discomfort, or for senior animals in need of pain relief and ongoing support.

Is your animal a candidate for rehabilitation massage?  I will work with your veterinarian and others involved in their care to develop a rehabilitation massage plan that is just right for them.  


Candidates for Rehabilitation Massage include:

  • Hospitalized pets
  • Nutritionally debilitated animals
  • Shelter animals
  • Geriatric animals
  • Animals confined due to surgery, injury, etc
  • Pets with neurological conditions
  • Pets with cancer
  • Hospice care


Sessions should take place daily to weekly depending on severity

Performance Massage

Performance Massage is perfect for dogs and/or cats that are raising their level of activity, be it through training, work or competition and also for dogs and/or cats trying to regain their previous activity level.

  • Helps with posture
  • Enhances training

Candidates for Performance Massage

  • Show dogs and cats
  • Dogs in training
  • Young dogs beginning training/work
  • Any pet experiencing a transition (from shelter to a home, changing or starting new activities, moving to a different home, or a rehabilitated pet returning to activity)


Sessions should take place weekly or as dictated by training/competition schedule

Maintenance Massage

Maintenance Massage is designed to keep your pet healthy and can be the follow up program after Rehabilitation or Performance Massage.


Physical Benefits of Maintenance Massage

  • Strengthens cardiac muscle
  • Improves oxygen supply to all cells
  • Decreases blood pressure
  • Improves elimination of metabolic waste from tissues
